Sid: My guest Pastor Bill Johnson, Senior Pastor of Bethel Church in Redding, California, this is one of the reasons that God has raised him up to be a demonstrator of God’s kingdom, but more than a demonstrator to be a mentor for others to do the same. And I would have to believe Bill if they do better than you that’s your happiest moment.
Bill: Oh, goodness yes, that has to happen.
Sid: It’s going to happen; it is happening with all those students of yours, you must feel like such a proud father if I can use the word proud. [Laughing]
Bill: Yeah, I sure am thrilled with the people that God is bringing together, that are just learning to live a life style of risk and trust in God and just learning to live a lifestyle of risk and trust in God and just watching what He does.
Sid: Well, would you just talk off the top of your head from your spirit about healing and get a lot of people healed right now?
Bill: Sure. Healing is our birthright, it’s what Jesus provided for in His stripes, the Bible says “By His stripes we were healed.” When He suffered He was actually making a payment and there’s no sense in me paying for something that’s already paid for. We pray for the sick because we want Jesus to get what He paid for, He takes it personal when we suffer persecution, and He also takes it personal when we are healed because of what He accomplished for us. In Malachi it says that “The Son of righteousness will rise with healing in His wings.” What I like for people to understand that healing is an expression of God’s righteousness, what sin is to my soul sickness is to my body, it an aberration, it’s outside of God’s plan and His heart for us. He never designed us to live with affliction. He designed us to live with a manifestation of His presence in our lives so strong, this sickness and torment was driven away. And so when I minister to people I just like to remind them of what Jesus said. I like to remind them of what Jesus did. Jesus exemplified, He illustrated what the normal Christian life was, in fact I like to talk folks, Jesus was the most normal Christian in the Bible it illustrated everything that He taught. He demonstrated perfectly in His compassion, His love for people, brought about miracle after miracle and it’s just simply in the covenant. It’s just a part of what we inherit. And we have had so many years of unbelief in this area that we’ve developed a skill to not believing in God for the miraculous. But that wall that thing that exists in the imaginations of people is coming down; that idol, that monument against God is coming down thankfully in the church. We’re seeing a dramatic increase Jesus ministered 100% success because he learned how to recognize what His Father was doing. The Holy Spirit upon Him empowered Him to duplicate or mimic, or to follow the example of the Father. And for anyone who wants to live in a lifestyle of miracles you have to have a love appreciation, a nearness of drawing close to the Holy Spirit Himself. He’s the one who instructs us, He empowers us, He leads us, He’ll show us a certain way to pray, He’ll show us a certain place to lay our hand. All these things we cannot reduce the healing ministry to principals we have to learn to live from the presence, and not nearly by principles. When we learn to live with an awareness of God’s presence we’re able to represent Him more accurately. And I really believe that this is the heart of the Lord for the people of God that we represent Him, that we represent Jesus accurately. And to do that there has to be love, there has to be integrity but there also must be power. And I tell our folks you know I’m not impressed with anyone’s life that doesn’t have character, but I’m not happy with their life until there’s power. And that is really the mandate of the Lord for every believer. Let me take at least a few minutes just to begin to pray for people to experience for themselves a healing touch of the Lord. I believe in the Lord often times will speak through unusual coincidences and this last week we had back to back testimony or healing of Rheumatoid Arthritis and I just believe that that disease is being destroyed in people’s bodies right now, that that spirit of affliction is being broken off of bodies and that God is actually restoring the damage that was done and we declare in the Name of Jesus infirmity you have no place, no place in that believers body. Spirit of God I ask that You would come in great power and manifest the Kingdom in arthritis, in cancer. I stand against cancer. The mass that has grown on the kidney I rebuke you in the name of Jesus, I speak life and health to that kidney be made new. All the organs of the body that has been so affected by cancer, lung cancer, I rebuke in the name of Jesus, and speak in the name of Jesus and I speak health, life in fact various kinds of lung afflictions there is a fungus, there’s some sort of an affliction in the lungs that they just haven’t been able to treat affectively. Something to do with antibiotics they haven’t been able to touch that condition affectively. So we stand now in the Name of Jesus. I command that power that has been aimed to steal life and to strangle of this man or woman of God I stand against that power in Jesus Name, and I command health to flow through those lungs now in the name of the Lord. There are people that have accidents where bones did not heal correctly, this is perhaps the most common miracle we have I don’t know why, but it’s just that we have just seen hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of people that have broken bones that just didn’t heal correctly and the Lord just resets the bone. I just believe that that is the heart of God for everybody that has been restricted movement of an arm or a leg, we’ve had broken necks and backs healed. So I just speak to the bones that have been damaged, destroyed. There are even some with screws metal plates. I speak life to you in the name of Jesus, I declare the will of God right now for those bones to come into alignment and to be reset in Jesus name, in Jesus name. Lord I ask as well for healing on the eyes and the ears, for the blindness, for the… of the disease, the glaucoma of the affection of the eye that affects sight dissolve now in Jesus Name. For the ears I stand against deafness in Jesus name that right ear that is just seems like it’s plugged all the time, there’s that muffled feeling to it. I declare in Jesus Name get off of that body right now in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Father I’m asking that not only would you heal people’s that even over the radio that there be impartation of faith of grace for miracles as a lifestyle to this listening audience that something would soar in the hearts of people to grab hold of something that they’ve ever known in this measure before increase it in Jesus Name.
Sid: You are listening to Pastor Bill Johnson. Bill something that you said earlier this week I think it’s important to summarize, and that is that most people who have encounters with the Holy Spirit and then move in the supernatural have cried out to God. What do you mean by that, do you mean that they just stop work for a week and fast and just cry out 24-7? What does that, I’m a practical person, what does that mean?
Bill: Well, sometimes it means that sometimes it’s a big enough deal that you take a week of your vacation, or three days a weekend, or whatever it might be and you just set aside the time. I’ve gone away to a hotel and just locked myself up to pray. It’s just whatever it takes, if that’s an impossibility because of present circumstances then you just take the time that you have. You stay up late, you cry out. You rise up early, you just… the point is that you’re so driven inside, driven inside by this cry for breakthrough that it just wakes you up and you just find yourself praying and it may include fasting at times where you skip meals, you skip activities. Just set yourself aside for God to meet with God and it can be done a thousand different ways but it just hast to be done.
