RON: It is like a seed that brings forth life! The Latter Rain isn’t, isn’t something more exciting. It is the Living Word of God falling on us and drenching us and flooding us with God’s power! So having said that, that there is a possibility of revival and I believe every time there’s been a revival, two things, Israel’s land and the Word of God! Israel’s land and a fresh visitation of the outpouring of the Word of God! Now how about this Latter Rain and the End of the Age and the coming of Jesus Christ? James, chapter 5, we’re going to look at in a moment. The Book of James, the only Book more neglected in the New Testament than James is Second Corinthians. That’s because Second Corinthians talks about suffering and nobody wants to talk about it! In Second Corinthians Paul says in chapter 1: I was pressed beyond measure above what I could stand. I’ve heard people say well God won’t put more on you than you can bear. Yes He will! Oh yes He will! The Bible doesn’t say that. The Bible says he won’t let you be tempted above that which you can, like Joseph he’ll make a way of escape. Yes ma’am. Because you live by faith and not by the flesh He will put more on you than your flesh can bear but He’ll also come through to bring you through it! And sometimes you need to balance up your thinking with the entire Word of God. The other neglected Book is James. Now the Reformers hated it. Martin Luther called James a perfect straw Epistle. He also hated Jews. Now I’m not going there today. Hitler drew his theology for persecution of the Jews from the writings of Martin Luther. If you don’t believe it go look at history. And by the way he planned his death camps after the Indian reservations in America. Oh, we got a lot to think about, don’t we? But I’m not going there, that’s another rabbit we won’t shoot today. You can just consult my ministry. I’ve got a lot of teaching about stuff. But let me tell you something. Jesus is coming back and He’s coming back on the heels of the third and final Latter Rain. Everybody say third day.
AUDIENCE: Third day.
RON: There’s a third day Comin! Just like he got up from the dead! Now remember that the Book of James was written to the Jew. The very first verse: James, a bondservant of God and of the Lord Jesus, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad: Greetings. The Jews of what’s called the diaspora. That word, dia means; through, spora, that’s the word seed. They’re scattered like seed around the world. Now there are Jews back in Israel but you hear me there are more coming. James lets us know that his Book is about the Second Coming but it’s also about its connected with the Jews who are still scattered around the world because of persecution. They’re going to have – by the way they’re already leaving some, they’re leaving France. You know I believe over a million Jews are going to leave France because of what’s happened in Paris. They’re already flying them in, did you know that? They’re already flying in from France. The Jewish Jews in France are leaving. Benjamin Netanyahu met with them. They’re leaving France to avoid persecution. James is written. But you have to turn over to James chapter 5 to get back to the Latter, you all think I’ve forgotten the Latter Rain. No, we’re going there right now. I’m rushing cause I want to get to the good stuff here. James chapter 5, verse 1: Come now you rich. Weep and howl for your miseries are coming upon you! Your riches are corrupted, your garments are moth-eaten, your gold and silver are corroded and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You’ve heaped up treasure for the last days. Everybody say last days.
AUDIENCE: Last days.
RON: James says there are two circumstances that describe the Last Days. One: Finances will fail for some at the end of the age. Number Two: Corruption and greed will mark the Last Days. We’re living in the days when people in America can’t get a living wage in the middle and lower-middle class. But Bernie Madoff can steal billions of dollars. C’mon somebody!
AUDIENCE: Yeah. Yes.
RON: The first time in history, how many of you are like me are drawing Social Security? Anybody here admit it? We got a cut. Some of us did and they took it to put on our insurance, our Medicare, some of us if you still making some income. And I called Social Security. I said Why? We’re not supposed to get cut! We’ll you’ve got to help pay for your Obamacare that’s now took over Medicare. Excuse me? First time in 40 years old people have been cut according under this so-called generous liberal people we have. This wasn’t Richard Nixon that made the cut, by the way. I’m still mad about it, I’m telling you!
AUDIENCE: [LAUGHTER]
RON: I got cut? How many of you got old people in your family that got cut this year? But the upper one percent are doing alright, aren’t they? These actors and these athletes are doing all right, aren’t they?
AUDIENCE: Yes.
RON: The Wall Street Bankers are doing all right! Well let me read what James says it’s going to be like. He looks at them and said you’ve hoarded up all this wealth for yourself. I read where they just sold Robin Williams house for 18 million dollars! Can you imagine? 18 million dollars! James 5: The wages of the laborers who moved your fields, that’s who helped you with your harvest, you kept back by fraud cry out and the cries of the reapers have reached the Lord of the Sabbath. There are people who have helped people reap a harvest of wealth and they haven’t paid them right.
AUDIENCE: Murmuring. That’s right.
RON: That’s the truth!
AUDIENCE: Yes, it is.
RON: I’m talking out of the Bible here. I know this isn’t, I’m a conservative but I know this isn’t what you normally hear out of a conservative. But I pastor a lower-middle class church primarily. I have a few people of wealth but most of our people, the homeless come to my church and we feed them every Sunday. And that’s what he says here: You have lived on the earth in pleasure and luxury and have fattened your hearts as in a day of slaughter. You have condemned, you have murdered the just; he does not resist you. That’s how we, that’s how our world is today. I’m sorry. One percent own all the wealth in the world today. And most people are struggling. And if you’re not and you’re blessed and I’m blessed thank God for it! He’s been good to me. And you had something to eat today, didn’t you? And if you’re in poverty in America you’re better off than most of the rest of the world. A lot of people in poverty still have flat screen cable TV and a cell phone. C’mon somebody, talk to me!
AUDIENCE: [LAUGHTER]
RON: Then how do we live? How do we who are born again who know the Lord’s coming back, how do we, how do we put our lifestyle together? James tells us how are we to live. One: We’re to, we’re to understand that we can live patiently. And that doesn’t mean to be patient because I’m not. It means to endure because the Lord’s coming! And you know we’re having a presidential election but Jesus is coming!
AUDIENCE: Yeah! Hallelujah!
RON: Somebody said to me Brother Ron, what party are you? And I said I’m a Jesus-crat. I’m a Christ-ticon! [laughs].
AUDIENCE: [LAUGHTER]
RON: I never seen a – I not going to say that. But anyway –
AUDIENCE: [LAUGHTER]
RON: James 5:7: Be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits, now watch this, for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently until it receives the early and the latter rain. There is a Latter Rain yet to come! Bernie Madoffs and his crowd may be stealing money. There may be some difficulties in the economy. ISIS may be rising in the Middle East. And by the way don’t be surprised at terror. Satan is showing his hand. We no longer fight nations. We fight hidden cells. And what’s happening in the natural has always been true in the spiritual. They’re called strongholds!
AUDIENCE: Yes! Yeah!
RON: And maybe the Lord is showing us with these strongholds of physical terror that we ought to get rid of them out of our mind and our own body and our own soul –
AUDIENCE: [CLAPPING]
RON: – and in the name of Jesus some of you are going to be delivered from depression and suicide while you sit in that chair today! You going to get some hope!
AUDIENCE: [CLAPPING]
RON: We got to live patiently cause our harvest is coming. How the farmer, how many of you know if you sow some seed you’re a farmer, you’re a spiritual farmer?
AUDIENCE: Yes.
RON: Our day is coming! Our harvest is coming and it’s going to come before Jesus comes! There’s going to be an End Time transfer! There’s going to be cities that become cities of refuge. There are going to be pockets of prosperity of God’s people who are going to be blessed in these Last Days in the middle of turmoil. There’s going to be certain areas and places where the wealth transfer from the wicked to the righteous is going to take place by the glory of God!
AUDIENCE: Yes.
RON: I want to tell you be patient. Your harvest is coming. You got to be like the farmer. You got to wait for that precious fruit. When those drops begin to fall they’re not going to be anymore little mercy drops anymore. We about to have a flood that’s going to bring forth prosperity! Amen!
