CLARICE: So we’re 30 miles from home. We have this little fat priest and this little skinny Baptist preacher. And the little skinny Baptist preacher when he prayed in tongues he definitely was praying for the Chinese nations! [imitates the Chinese language] I mean he just kept on doing it! And then the priest was back there and he’d go, “Oooooh!

CLARICE: Ooooooh!” And I thought – and George is driving. And the pressure. What if when I said, “But, but” I may have said the whole Bible? What?
Audience: [laughing]
CLARICE: What if I cursed God? What if I’m going to die tonight and go to hell?” You know I had all these thoughts that are going, you know, you’re going back and forth! A double-minded person is unstable and I was pretty unstable at that time. Probably I was triple-minded but it was [laughs] – we were having all kinds of thoughts going on. And suddenly about 15 miles into the trip with them going [imitates the Chinese language] and ooooooh, I turned around and I looked at that priest and I looked at that Baptist preacher and I said, “But, but!”
Audience: [laughter]
CLARICE: Despise not the day of small beginnings!
Audience: Amen! Amen! [laughing]
CLARICE: And the priest looked at me and said, “Oooooooh” and the Baptist preacher went [imitates the Chinese language] And I said, “But, but, but, but, but, but, but!” And so I did everything in the next 15 miles with “but, but!” Brrrutten, butten, beeten, button, booten, booten, bat, boot, boot, booten, bitten, but, but!”

CLARICE: I was faithful with the little things! Amen?

CLARICE: Say “We haven’t been this way before!”

CLARICE: You know most everybody here is born again and that you have the mighty baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of praying in a language no man taught you! If you do not have that would you hold your hand up real quick and say, “I need that power! I need the power of the Holy Ghost in my life!” Just simply say, “Lord Jesus!”
